Who are we?
This is the website of the La Maison du Bonheur holiday cottages, 20 rue de Chez Moreau, 17240 Plassac (Charente-Maritime, France). You can reach us by phone on +33 6 20 35 22 12 or with the form on the Contact page. We are responsible for the personal data collected on this website.
The data we collect
Only when you write to us with the contact form:
- your full name and your email address (required);
- your phone number, your preferred dates, the cottages you are interested in, and the number of adults and children (optional);
- the content of your message.
Why, and on what basis
This information is used only to answer your enquiry or stay request. It is used with your consent (the box you tick before sending the form) and to follow up your request before a possible rental contract.
Where your data goes and how long we keep it
The form does not store anything on the website: your message is sent by email to the owners. It is kept in their mailbox while your request is being handled, then for a maximum of three years after our last exchange, before being deleted.
We do not sell or share your data. It is only accessible to the owners and to our technical providers (website host and email service).
Cookies and third-party services
This website uses no advertising, no audience-measurement tool and no tracker. It only sets one small technical cookie to remember the language you chose (French or English).
The availability calendar is provided by Google. It is displayed directly on the relevant pages: Google may then set cookies and receive your IP address, according to its own privacy policy. The links to Facebook, Instagram, Airbnb and Booking are simple links: those sites are visited only if you click on them.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law, you may at any time ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its processing, ask for its restriction and withdraw your consent. Contact us by phone or through the contact form, stating the email address you used.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
